The company "Dr. Fintelmann und Dr. Meyer GmbH"
was founded in
1923 under the name of Dr. R. Koetschau and
Dr. G. Schmitt.
In 1971 both companies merged with "The
Commercial Laboratory Helmut Kleim", which was established in 1872.
Finally "The Chemical Laboratory Dr. Gilbert", founded
1883, was integrated in 1973.
Since 1996
until 2005 the company Schmitt und Fintelmann (Inlabco)
GmbH was independant. Until 1995 it was and finally since 2006 it
is again a division of "Dr. Fintelmann und Dr. Meyer GmbH". The activities of this company focuses on harbour/port services and
maritime shipping, such as supervision of loading and unloading
operations as well as gasfreeness-inspections.
Until 1995 Dr. Fintelmann und Dr. Meyer
Handels- und Umweltschutzlaboratorien was registered as a civil
company, thereafter in the legal form as a commercial partnership.
In 1998 the Limited Liability Company was formed.
The shareholder and Managing
Director of the company is Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Meyer, public sworn
chemist.
